Common Issues

Screen Recording Permission

If captures aren't working, check your Screen Recording permission:

  1. Open System Settings > Privacy & Security > Screen Recording
  2. Ensure Craig-O-Screens is listed and enabled
  3. If the app isn't listed, try quitting and relaunching it
  4. You may need to log out and back in for changes to take effect

Export Issues

If exports are failing:

  • Ensure you have write access to the export destination
  • Check that there's sufficient disk space available
  • Verify all assets pass validation before exporting (look for green checkmarks)

Validation Errors

Validation errors indicate your assets don't meet App Store Connect requirements. Check the Inspector panel for specific issues and resolution guidance. Common problems include incorrect resolution, wrong file format, or transparency in JPEG files.

System Requirements

  • macOS 14.0 (Sonoma) or later
  • Universal app - runs natively on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs
  • Approximately 50 MB of disk space
  • Screen Recording permission required for capture features
